Do You Accept Insurance?

I do not accept insurance directly.

However, if your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement of my fee. I can provide a monthly superbill, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance provider.

To find out if you qualify for reimbursement, consider contacting your insurance company and asking:

  • Does my plan include out-of-network benefits for mental health services?

  • What percentage of the fee will be reimbursed?

  • Is there an out-of-network deductible?

  • Are there any session limits or paperwork requirements?

In a time when many therapy practices are shaped by insurance constraints, I offer something more personal. This is a private-pay practice, built around thoughtful, flexible care. Our work together is centered entirely on you. It is not dictated by a diagnosis or documentation requirement. This approach supports deeper, more individualized therapy that moves at a pace that feels right for you.

Cancellation Policy

Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.

Now for the human side of things.

I get it. Life is full, sometimes chaotic, and occasionally unpredictable. If something comes up and you need to cancel or move your appointment, I ask that you let me know at least 24 hours in advance. This allows me to offer your time slot to someone else who may be waiting to be seen.

Because your session time is reserved just for you, cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full fee.

Think of it like holding a seat at a small, quiet café where you’re the only guest on the books. If you can’t make it, a little heads-up helps keep things flowing smoothly for everyone. I appreciate your respect for this policy and the structure it provides for both of us.

If you're not sure whether to cancel or come in, reach out. Sometimes the best therapy happens when you show up just as you are.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill under federal law. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
